Should I switch diets?!

Hello!

Have lost 4 stone on the cambridge diet, but ideally would like to lose another Stone, but for the last 4 5 weeks on the Cambridge, I have only lost 1.5lbs. And it's doing my head in, I don't mind only losing a little bit if I am eating, but am only having 2 cambridge shake and food up to 1000 calories. Not sure whether to have a chance and switch to weight watchers for the last stone to see if that helps shift it. Plus the shakes are starting to make me feel a bit queasy drinking them now, think I have been drinking them tooooo long!!!!
Any advice would be great! Thanks!

The less weight you have to lose the harder it may be to shift it... That said, i don't know how long you've been on the Cambridge diet but perhaps your metabolism has now adjusted to a low daily calorie allowance and you need to make changes to help your metabolism.

Perhaps before signing up to anything else, you could stop the Cambridge diet and try eating 'normally', using portion control and common sense (maybe use Myfitnesspal to list what you're eating as a record) and see whether you maintain, lose or gain weight.

I think if you aren't losing on cambridge, you are unlikely to lose on ww. But if thats what you want to try, do it for a month and see what happens.

I think a better bet would be try using myfitnesspal, keep to 1200 calories and keep carbs under 75g a day (veg and some low fat dairy) and see what happens. Aim to eat over 100g protein, great if you can get to 150g.

I recommend dukan, but don't necessarily do the pure protein days, just protein and veg every day.

Or you might decide to try very low carb...

Also I think lift weights in gym, risk on cambridge type diets that you lose muscle mass.....
