Gym/exercise gear for larger women

I bought myself some new fitness gear this weekend. No problem, but I did have to spend time in the changing room with loads of different sizes as the brands differ so much.
One thing I noticed was that the sizes are very small - I'm a small in everything, but ended up with medium cropped running pants.

What do larger women do - the large sizes I saw couldn't have been more than a 14 - how can people be encouraged to exercise when the gear doesn't fit?

I accept that it's not essential to have purpose-built kit, but as you start to do more, you do need a stock of suitable clothes.

As a larger laydee myself Grin bravissimo is an absolute must for sports bra, and anything that keeps my 34hh's from bouncing too much is worth every penny. I wear a crappy baggy t-shirt though because no one has invented anything that is comfortable that stops the stomach gaining momentum.
I'm an 18 with dumpy legs and DW sports stock a good range up to size 20, even in short legs for me. Forget Adidas and Nike etc, they don't even get to my size. :)

I would be miserable without Bravissimo these days, although expensive I've got bras I purchased four years ago that are still in good condition.

I reckon anything design to hold my stomach would have to have the tensile strength of steel in a fabric Grin

I reckon there's a market for properly designed technical exercise gear in sizes up to say 30.
And not described as L, XL, XXL etc.
Let's call it Superwoman.

It's a virtual range, only available to browse online for people who like to look at clothes they think they would like to wear if they were the sort of people who exercised Grin.

Yeah it's terrible. Try being a size 22 and wanting to exercise or hiking. An almost total lack of gear for larger women. But of course we just lounge on our sofas stuffing crisps...what could we possibly want with activity gear?? Hmm

I'm an 18 and I find Ronhill stuff fits me. Also, for cycling Altura ladies stuff is a good fit.
