A question for all Dukan experts about vegetables...

I've been doing it for a few months now, been very successful but still have around half a stone to drop before I start phase 3...am on phase 2 at the moment. Thing is, I'm starting to lose motivation/finsing it all a bit restrictive, and have cheated a bit recently.

What do you think to the idea of doing pv every day rather than every other day? The pp days are where I'm really starting to struggle and I'm thinking I may cave in to cravings less if I just allow veg every day instead....much easier to snack on cherry toms etc rather than more fish/chicken/prawns etc etc

Has anyone done this and still been successful in reaching target weight?

Thanks :)

Yes, I hated dukan PP days, only did maybe 10 in total. Just didn't work for me. Got to target and below on PV every day.

But I was conscious on the extra PV days to keep the carbs down. Dukan allows 500g (other sources 1kg) dairy and I never eat anywhere near that. 1kg of natural fat free yoghurt would be 80g carbs - so I ate veg but looked at the total daily carbs and tried to keep to around 50-80g.

However, I don't think a good idea to snack on cherry tomatoes which as far as veg go are quite high in carbs, I stuck to green veg (lower in carbs) and only ate veg at mealtimes (lunch and dinner, sometimes just dinner) with protein.

IMO the extra cherry tomatoes will make cravings worse not better...

Thanks so much for the advice foreveronadiet - and great to know that you were still successful doing pv every day.

I will stick to green veg for snacking or try to keep them to mealtimes! Good point re dairy too.

It will just be that little bit more flexible this way/easier to eat with family.

Yes that was another reason, didn't want my kids to see me having meals without veg. Can't really tell them to eat theirs when I wasn't eating.

Try for a few weeks and see how you go, I used myfitnesspal to log the carbs.

Well foreveronadiet so far the veg don't seem to be making a difference to the weight loss, as in I am still losing, and I haven't cheated either, so feeling great-hopefully this will work better for me.
