Dukan or Atkins best for long term small amount of weight loss? Happy to be convinced either way!

But which- fullcream in coffee or skimmed? Low fat or not?! Don't know which way to swing..

Am v convinced by low carb diets, am a fan of Briffa and his Escape the Diet Trap but, ironically, cd do with a regime to follow, at least initially even tho this contradicts his ethos. I'dike to lose 5-9 lbs and keep it off long term.

Any words from the wise please?

Dukan. Will come off faster. IME anyway. You might get it all off in one week.

My long term WOE now is a cross between Briffa and Dukan.

So - lots of chicken, meat, fish, eggs and veg. Some low fat natural yoghurt and cottage cheese (briffa allows full fat yoghurt so its close!). Some nuts and seeds, esp linseed and chia seeds which have omega 3 and fibre. Some fruit (although not in weight loss phase) and preference for berries. Occasional pulses and soya. Happy to fall of wagon on special occasions (I am at target weight) although try to avoid wheat. Will eat grains if do big exercise (ie 10km run) - but go for brown rice, quinoa or buckwheat.

Thanks, forever! Which way do u go
though, fullfat or Dukan low fat?
Am also wondering about doing 3 day attack then leaping to 45 day consolidation then long term stabilization, what do u reckon? How long have u been following it? Remember u from other low carb threads : )

I do low fat for dairy.

I think 3 days attack, and then PV every day (maybe one PP a week?) until target. Then consolidation - but add nuts and seeds instead of bread and cheese!
