I'm scared of scales lol there my enemy :(. I've been reading up on your conversations and finally decided to join as you all support each other I hope you can support me :d. I'm nevous about the diet but I want and need to loose weight I have no confidence at all !! I'm very excited tho , can someone tell me what they think of the shakes and soups and stuff what to go for and what to stay clear of :) xxxxx

Good luck to you, I wish I had done the same when I was 18- I was almost 20st when I was 18, I've gone down over the years but this year I'm on a VLCD too. Very similar to Cambridge but without the support.

I can recommend popping onto minimins, there is a very active community of Cambridgers on there. I can't say anything about the products as I've never tried CD but I love the stuff on my diet!

All the best, if you stick 100% to a VLCD you could get losses of around a stone a month, I know I have so far!

Well, it's helping my food demons. Learning not to pick, knowing all I can have is the food from the plan- I'm even learning more how to cook, the meals are lovely with a bit of spice. For some people it won't work, but I did a low-gi, low-fat diet for a year, lost 4st, and gained most of it back. I wasn't even at goal, I was still morbidly obese so lost all incentive to continue. This time round I am determined to change, I have a plan for maintenance and it will be tough, but I gained it all back on a proper, healthy eating plan so I may do it again. Losing weight at 1-2lb a week is a sensible option but it doesn't guarentee you won't re-gain.
