Does anyone have any recommendations for the best trainers for Zumba?

Zumba instructor here!

Anything that's supports your ankles, and has some bounce.

Try not to get running shoes as they are only designed to go in one direction, forward! In Zumba you go in all directions!

Btw. I wear dance trainers, but they can be more expensive!

I think the trainers I have at the moment are cross trainers. Is it worth paying our for decent dance trainers though?

If you like it, and want to, then it's up to you - it won't make a massive amount of difference to your work out.

The only really difference tends to be a spinning point and broken sole, which makes dancing easier but support-wise they're the same!

I've had shoes for Zumba with the broken sole, but I find I get cramp in my feet sometimes. I'm wondering if it a support issue.
Our Zumba instructor says they aren't necessary, but does advocate the ones with the circl on the sole (spinning point). I'm going to try and get some and see if they are any better.

2kids It may be that you have a high arch on your foot, and that's what causes the cramping in a broken sole.
