I am on day 4 and am feeling good... flatter stomach already... and I am just so aware of what I eat, it has really opened my eyes to how much I just used to shovel in....no wonder am a lard arse...

boobyprize! I've only listened to it once and have to admit to opening my eyes to have a sneaky look at my watch after about 20 mins! I'm finding it quite easy to follow the golden rules without it though so fingers crossed ....

boobyprize · 16/01/2006 12:47

how are we all doing?

I am still doing OK... find it weird not bingeing and turning food down... but then find it better having a flatter stomach... it still feels unnatural... but i am going with it!!

I'm on day 13 and doing pretty well - though admit to hitting the bottle on Sat when mum announced her chemo wasn't working and she's waiting to die in the middle of dd's 2nd birthday party!
I haven't craved chocolate or anything. My clothes are definitely looser but I get disappointed around this stage that I'm not thin yet - have to remember years of unhealthy eating won't be sorted overnight! I feel I can keep going this time though - simply because I know nothing's forbidden. I'm definitely a boredom eater.

boobyprize · 16/01/2006 14:01

sorry to hear about your mum swedishmum hope mn will be a support for you.Not suprised you hit the bottle

I don't feel like it is a diet this time but a new way of eating so that feels good.feel better can't wait to weigh in now.

It was just the timing - we'd already guessed about mum. Last birthday fil went off in a huff - just wondering if it's worth planning a 3rd birthday party!

I totally agree about it not feeling like a diet, and that's what works for me. I'm even doing the CD every day, though dh has an irritating habit of interrupting me!

swedishmum · 18/01/2006 19:17

Yes! My trousers are too big. Last wore them for Nativity with a long top - they were very uncomfy. Wore with a shorter top and a belt today and they are very loose. Much as I like them, I'm thrilled. Yes they are a big size but I'm going in the right direction and not feeling deprived. 2 weeks and still going - how is everyone else doing out there?

Katya · 24/01/2006 19:13

hiya
I'm doing the Paul McKenna 'system' too.
It helped me a lot last year but I fell out the habit of listening to the CD regulary and lost my way a bit after moving house, then Xmas, couple of family birthdays, lots of hosptial apppointments and few other stresses....
but now getting back into the routine again, it's only been a few days feeling much better
I don't manage to listen to the CD everyday, and lseep through, but somehow it seems to help as magically the stressy munchie feelings have gone - hurrah

what actually in the Journal?

although I wince at the smaltz of the TV prog, I am impressed ath they are genuinely dealing with people with significant weight problems ( ie obese).

I haven't tried tapping or spinning, has anyone else? it looks a bit odd to me, but hey if it works won't complain I will try to give it a go if I get a binge-y feeling.

LoveMyGirls · 25/01/2006 09:35
