My clothes are far too tight and I'm not buying any more in a larger size. I am starting to cut back today by sticking to 3 normal meals and 3 fruit/veggie snacks in between. I want to be back to the weight I was 10 years ago by next year.

Had weetabix, coffee and orange.

Good on you, not many people have the will to start a diet at this time of year.

Hathall · 19/12/2011 10:32

Good for you!

I'm doing the same.

I had people over yesterday and ate a load of fat and sugar. I woke up feeling bloated, lethargic and groggy and wondering why I do this to myself.

I got my Davina dvd out. Did that first thing then had fruit and fat free yoghurt for breakfast. Ive got chicken salad for lunch and chicken with veg for dinner (lots of left over chicken from yesterday). Apples and fat free yoghurt for snacks.

I know its not the best time to lose weight but I'm certainly not going to put any on.

Wishing to be thinner isn't working Xmas Grin. All of my lovely Coast and Dottie P dresses are getting dusty in the wardrobe and I just don't feel like going out.
I have been half-hearted but have lost kept off 8llbs over the past 2 months. This could easily go back on over Xmas.

Ditto with bloated, lethargic and groggy. Consuming less calories than you need doesn't sound that hard. It is so easy to over indulge.

Had homemade lentil soup for lunch.

How are you getting on with the diet?
I've been sticking to exercising every day and eating healthy. I'm hoping this will be enough to halt any seasonal weight gain.

You sound like you are doing well Hathall. My motto is to 'halt any seasonal weight gain'. Sounds like Monday was chickentastic Xmas Grin.

I have been out to eat twice:

  1. Salmon teppanyaki, fresh pineapple and sparkling water.
  2. Jamie's Italian - bread and balsamic, small truffle risotto and juice.
Normal meals otherwise so not too bad.
