Just been reading the ads - currently googling reviews as claiming 9lb loss in 11 days makes me very sceptical.

Has anyone tried it?

sounds dangerous!

do you have to cut your leg off?

MrsSpoon · 08/01/2006 21:43

Never heard of it but suspect that it's a short-term fix and the weight would just pile back on.

Milliways · 08/01/2006 21:52

Read this blog review that shows lots of different views & gives the jist of the plan.

the main website is here

Just wondered if anyone had tried it.

Just copy pasted this from your first link:-

Manipulate calories
Eat 4 meals a day (2 1/2 hours between each)
Prepare meals at home
Rotate carb and protein meals each day
Eat meals plain (i.e. little or no condiments)
Knowing when to stop eating
Only drink certain drinks
Drink lots of water
Walking
Avoid sweet stuff

Sounds like pretty sensible stuff (although I'm not sure what "manipulate calories" means). I suppose thinking about it when I have previously lost weight, particularly if I had been overweight rather than just needing to lose a few lbs, I have had a big loss in the first couple of weeks so maybe 9lbs in 11 days isn't so unrealistic.

MrsSpoon · 08/01/2006 22:01

Just had another look at your second link, 9lbs every 11 days, that sounds a bit dubious.

Milliways · 08/01/2006 22:05

Ah, but they tell you to stop if loosing more than 1lb per day .

I just need someone who has had it to post an 11 day plan for us to try

It's a bit sus that you don't get to see an example of the type of stuff you would be eating.

Milliways · 08/01/2006 22:15

Yes, that's what one of the bloggers said - too much cottage cheese.

Isn't rotating carbs & protein like slimming world red & green days?

OP posts:
MrsSpoon · 08/01/2006 22:19

That's what I thought and now you can Mix to Max on SW which, IIRC, is say a red breakfast, followed by green lunch, then red dinner sort of thing, although if you do this you can only have free foods that are free on either day, otherwise they have to be counted as syns.

TBH even with healthy extras I found the red and green thing a bit frustrating at times.

Milliways · 08/01/2006 22:24

Maybe I will just stick to my:
Drink more water
Enjoy a decent evening meal
No unhealthy snacks
Cuppa soup & fruit for lunch
Bagel or cereal breakfast
Alcohol in moderation at weekend only
diet to loose a stone before I am 40 plan

Bump just incase anyone else has seen/tried it.

Arabica · 09/01/2006 20:26

Arabica puts health journo hat onIt's just a low-calorie diet gussied up with a load of pseudo-scientific nonsense about metabolism. Better to go to Slimming World or Weight Watchers and get group support whilst you lose weight, IMOor visit a good-quality website like weightlossresources.co.uk (taking hat off now)
