Does this sound like a healthy and nutritional breakfast that will keep me full?

I'm trying to loose some weight in anticipation of my friends wedding in the start of the new year. One of my biggest downfalls is that during the week i have to be up for work at 4.30am so i either completely skip breakfast or i end up eating the danish pastrys that I bake when i get to work.

So my plan is to take a little tupperware tub to work with me with oats mixed with low fat natural youghurt, grated apple, blueberries, a small handful of flaked almonds or chopped cashew nuts and a small drizzle of honey for a bit of sweetness (I have a terrible sweet tooth)

Does this sound like a good solid breakfast that will give me plenty of energy for work and running around after a non sleeping DS (1yr old and never got anywhere close to sleeping through the night, but thats a whole other post lol)

Any comments or ideas for ammendments would be greatfully received.
TIA
(sorry for the boring post lol)

Interesting about museli, at the moment that's what I'm using as I'm not fully sure what to do with oats (i.e. porridge oats, can i eat them just as they are? or do i need to cook them/do something with them to make them palatable, and how do i make sure it doesn't turn into porridge lol) but i thought that quite a few musilis had a shockingly high sugar content? which brand do you use if you don't mind me asking?

If you soak the oats, grated apple and yoghurt together overnight it makes a yummy sludge with a special name ( bircher muesli maybe?), you can buy an extra creamy version in Starbucks called a breakfast pot if you want to get the idea ( don't put cream in yours though!).

talking that's exactly where i got the idea from!! We stopped at a services on the way home one night and i spotted it and though hmmmm that could be a good breakfast, and it was pretty bloody delicious as well (although that could have been the cream lol)

I'm gettin quite excited at the prospect of taking proper food to work with me, my diet when im working at the moment is truly awful. I either don't eat or i eat utter crap (think pre packed sandwiches and crisps). God knows how i havn't but on more weight than i have; but I'm determined to get back on track with it all. Also have to start introducing some exercise into my routine, thinking about the 30 day shred as the fact it's only 20 minutes appeals to me.

Sounds good. You could also add a hard boiled egg as well (not to mixture Confused)! for extra protein and longer "fullness"...or have it as a mid morning snack.

Sounds good, although don't get too 'fat free' focused on the yoghurt - if you're busy and active you'd be fine with a standard natural yoghurt that isn't low fat, and it would be more delicious to eat and keep you going longer. Plus - compared to a danish it would be wayyyyy less fat anyway!
