Hi
There is a good thread that is on going on here at moment with quite a few of us doing a programme called my fitness pal.
If you google my fitness pal it should come up and is really easy to set up and it's free.
MFP will advise you how many calories you should eat to lose weight, you then log all food and drink and it adds it all up for you. If you do exercise you put this in as this awill add to calorie allowance.
I used to be a I cant lose weight without a slimming club but MFP has changed that and is free and you still get support by adding friends or even following and logging on the MFP thread on netmums.
I had 5.7 stone to lose and have managed a loss of 1 stone in 6 weeks on this, only another 4.7 to go lol but will get there.
The key is you do need to exercise, I used to hate exercise but am really enjoying it. Am currently doing couch to 5k through NHS podcast and also use my Wii Fit and Wii just dance 2 workout.
Asda is brill at moment as majority of fruit only £1.00 and food is pretty much affordable in Asda. I now make sure I have breakfast, Lunch and dinner and drinking water through out the day. I don't eat any different not really, will substitute chips etc for a jacket potato but my portion sizes have reduced and like I said I eat 3 times per day now rather than just tea time where I would have seconds on big portions and then chocolate later in evening whilst watching tv.
Friday or Saturdays depending on what i'm doing I have treat days and this is when I will have a takeaway and a coupe of glasses of cider so i don't feel I am going without completely so have not bored of it.
I know it is tough at times but you can do, just try and pre plan your weekly meals by writing them down and if you have a Wii do the exercise once everyone in bed or when nothing on tele.
Good luck :-)
