Now I don't do diets so not sure if this is a good amount or not - seems low to me??! - but the recipes look fab whether you are dieting or not.

I will see if the links work, if not go on timesonline and see for yourself.

xx

it is in 2 parts, think this might only be one of them

I think some of us are trying to lose 10lbs in 2 weeks with beetroot (thread somewhere in the health section...). Do let me know how you get on, in case beety's diet doesn't deliver what it promises !

oliveoil · 16/11/2005 13:58

I am not doing it myself, just wondered whether the 6lb was average loss for a 2 week diet or not.

Seems low, but not sure.

Hmm... seems like a SENSIBLE amount, but as you say, not quite enough! I've got a stone to lose altogether, could do it in just over a month on your diet (perhaps more realistic expectations?)... The real nutritionists etc say you shouldn't expect to lose more than 2lbs/week if youb want it to STAY off...

northerner · 16/11/2005 14:00

Far too faffy IMO. Look at teh length of that ingrediant list.

oliveoil · 16/11/2005 14:01

The recipes seem good on this one, not your usual 1 carrot and 2 raison ones.

I read it in the times yesterday, recipes do sound delicious... alla question of having the right ingredients in your kitchen (and not having the wrong ingrediants.... no ben and jerrys ice cream in the freezer means you can't eat it...!)

"One A-list celebrity has recently taken things to an extra level of madness, spending a month in hospital on an intravenous drip with enough fluids and basic minerals to stay alive. Her reason for admission? To lose weight"

WTF!!

orangina · 16/11/2005 15:01

shocking isn't it!
who is it though?!?!?!

crunchie · 16/11/2005 15:10

Sounds really good actually. I am going to print it off and read it properly
