Hi,

Is this very fattening? I've been buying the sugar free one as I love it but am finding the weight is not coming off as quick as I'd like it.
Perhaps I need to change to Special K??

Thanks
S

What is in it? Nuts? dry fruit? chocolate chip? I think the best way to know the fat/sugar/calory content its to read the packaging and compare different brands.

Muesli is very fattening. Try porridge instead - 30g made with 1/4pt skimmed milk (and a little water if necessary) and chop a banana onto it!

Thanks so much-def going to stop buying it....and swap to porridge/all bran.

I'm still taking muesli and losing weight. The key is measuring it out. Before I just poured what I fancied into a bowl. I was having 3/4 times what a portion should be and over 600 calories worth. I measure out 30g and I've got used to that now and still enjoy my muesli. Have you weighed how much you're having?

I had a light sprinkling of muesli on chopped banana with hot water instead of milk this morning
surprisingly tasted okay

Personally would rather have museli than special k. But I only have 25g, mixed with fat free greek yoghurt, and blueberries if I have... also I buy one without added sugar.

It's easy to make your own muesli, then you know what's in it. My recipe is, a 1kg pack of porridge oats, 2 x 375g packs of chopped apricots, 2x 375g packs of chopped prunes (the chopped fruit is expensive, but saves a load of time) a couple of handfuls of raisins, 500g sunflower seeds. It's a very forgiving recipe, and I've put all sorts in it at times.

Very healthy - no added sugar or salt. I lost 2st 9lbs eating this for breakfast every day.
