Is it any better than normal slicing loafs? Am I kidding myself on? or is there one type better than the other?

I'd think that stoneground proper brown bread would be fine?

Caligula · 02/11/2005 11:47

I suppose you could spread a bean paste on it to lower the whole meal's GI content?

TracyK · 02/11/2005 12:05

Not a dollop of pure lurpack and cheddar then?

Tracy, it's a big no no and it's the one thing I really miss - lovely fresh crusty bread, but it's worth the sacrifice now I've lost 6.5 stones!

Bloody hell - that's great Puff! But I am so hungry for my lunch - maybe I'll make do with seeded brown bread and salad - yuk!

its the closest thing on the GI scale to pure refined white sugar.
We used to regularly eat them , now its once a month for a lunch party or something...
