ds is six weeks old now and I'm huge and out of control and can't stop eating chocolate and other crap. I did ww before and found it a good way of losing weight that worked for me.

I'm breastfeeding mostly, with one bottle a day. Do you think it's too soon to go back to ww? I want to lose 2 stone, but safely and gradually.
Also, I know the ww system has changed which kind of puts me off. I haven't got the energy to learn anything new!

Go now! The rule at WW is that you must have had your post natal check. I always go back at 6/7 weeks and am always so relieved to be getting on with losing the lard!

BTW - it only took a few days to get my head around the new plan, and I've been doing WW for 10 years now. Good luck

I didn't diet until DS2 was 6 months old and I'd stopped feeding. I put on a stone from when I weighed myself a couple of weeks post birth until I started my diet Blush. And I was already almost 2.5 stone overweight...

I tried to "diet" while feeding but I was so hungry all the time. In hindsight (DS2 now 12 months and I have lost the weight (almost 3.5 stone) over the last 6 months) I'm glad I didn't have to worry about what to eat when feeding, although probably better to make good food choices - my downfall was ice-cream Smile. Also I love the gym and I found it very difficult to do a really good work-out whilst I was still feeding, and also because gym instructor said not to run for 6 months as very easy to injure yourself.

Personal choice though. Your baby will get enough milk from you whatever you eat. Another option is to do myfitnesspal or similar, and set it so that you get extra calories for breastfeeding.
