Lighter Life and Caffeine Free Diet Coke

I still haven't plucked up the courage to do the diet yet as the thought of drinking all that water scares me (don't know why).

Now, if you can drink tea/ coffee without milk but with sweetners, can I substitute it for caffeine free diet coke - it's only water, flavourings and a bit of sweetner and doesn't contain carbs etc..

Any thoughts on this?

I'm pretty sure you can't and even more sure it wouldn't be v good for you either!

I'm lucky and don't have any problem with the water but those who do swear by the water flavourings that LL sell.

NTH

That was supposed to say HTH!!!

A friends says the water flavouring were horrid, but that was a while ago, so maybe they've changed.

Maybe 50% water/ 50% caff free dc?

I'm trying to make it as bearable as possible!

on cambridge diet plan you can have coke zero, or tesco own caffeine free coke.. as these are the ones that dont have the citric acid in which is what can knock you out of ketosis..

I have to say i would say if it makes it easier for you then go for it surely it is better to be getting to a healthy weight and if you get there with the odd diet drink where is the harm... another idea would be to maybe try and cut down slowly with the coke....

interesting re. camb diet.

Chocspiders - is it the same as LL? Three shakes/ soup/ bar and litres of water?

Camb diet seems much more appealing to me now.

Anyone done both and think one is better?

Hope that helps = HTH!!

I've tried both and didn't get on with Cambridge at all but it's much cheaper so worth considering.

I saw a prog. that tested people on fizzy 'diet' drinks and it said the sweeteners are not recognised by yr. body as food so made the people more hungry. Come to Paul Mckenna we're loosing stones there!
