Are smoothies for breakfast a good choice?

I currently have 40g Special K with semi skimmed. I want to get away from processed cereal so thinking about home made fruit smoothies with rither milk or yoghurt. Is this a good choice from a weight loss/healthy eating POV or should I stick to cereal?

smoothies suffer from teh quick sugar release problem so might not fill you up until lunch .. unless you add some oats? still would be a better choice than over processed cereal as you could load with fruit.. could you not try muesli?

Neither special K nor smoothies are a good choice.

Problem with smoothies as often made with fruit juice so high GI.... muesli and yoghurt much better.

Muesli I find is like eating sawdust. I need my breakfast to be quite "wet". I don't chew before 10am!!

Porridge the best choice.

porridge is the way forward. 3 ww points, miles better than a smoothie
