please talk to me about your experiences in being an SW consultant. How many hours? Pay? Support?

Genuinely interested....is it worth it?

I was approached a couple of years ago you need to buy all the books etc yourself it was quite an expense and you are self-employed so the bigger your classes the more earnings.

you need to take a look around your area - are there already loads of SW classes. When I started going to SW in 1994(!!) there were hardly any & the consultants made loads of money. I became a consultant in 1995 and doing just one class a week made approx £30-40.

If there aren't too many then the next thing to consider is how much time you will have to put into it. The more time & effort the more money you will make.

BTW when I was a consultant you didn't have to pay for anything from SW!! How times change

so what would be the outlay, how many classes can you expect to run? I think that the one in my area needs a consultant as the one we have travels quite a way.
