I like the idea but am not convinced that it's that easy long term unless you live in southern California and surrounded by wonderful farmers' markets with amazing fresh food...
Would love to hear if anyone can really do this with only Tesco for help & a bit of parsley and a few carrots growing in the garden?

what protein are you going to eat?

bubble2bubble · 18/02/2011 14:32

in theory with the right balance of veggies & nuts etc you should have enough protein as grown adults don't actually need as much as you would think ( haven't actually finished reading the book yet though, so might have to come back to you on that Hmm)

maybe sushi grade salmon and tuna - is that allowed?! would be expensive though. what about dairy - would be hard to get raw (unpasuterised) milk.

Most raw fooders are vegan, so wouldn't bother with dairy or fish. The theory is that the enzymes in living food help you synthesize your protein more effectively; that as breast milk is only 6% protein and you eat it when you're putting on weight at the most rapid rate in your life, you might not need more than 6% protein anyhoo - easily supplied in fresh fruit, veg and nuts.
