I am sure there used to be a thread kicking about but can't find it (not on page 1 at least Grin) I have (ideally) 5 stone to shift and exercise and healthy eating just isn't cutting it (& I'm impatient now) so am giving this a bash (with DH). Anyone else out there on this diet? :)

Hi yes I am & am finding it absolutely amazing! I've lost 21 lbs in 4 weeks! The 1st few days were really tough but once ketosis kicks in the hunger just goes. It's so satisfying seeing the scales go down so fast - only thing concerning me at the moment is that many people say the diet is easy, it's the maintaining that's the hardest!

ASecretLemonadeDrinker · 08/02/2011 22:19

Oooh well done! I do hope it's easy, I'm not too scared about keeping most of it off as I am exercising 5 times a week which I am hoping will improve when I'm lighter :) Waiting for the lady to call back - do they let you start straight away?

I did it last year and lost nearly 4 stone within 4 months. When I stopped it quite suddenly, the weight went back on very quickly, as I never did the maintainance (due to stress and other things) and wish I had.

ALso, I found that once I started eating again, I couldn't fill myself, no matter what I ate.

It is a good diet if you have the will power. I'd love to go back on it again, but have to seriosly think about it.

And one final little add on, I was extremely constipated while on the diet and once I came off it I probably lost another stone through pooing (soory TMI I know) but it's best to know all about it.

Yes they should let you start straight away. I know what you mean by the constipation 5inthebed, but you can buy some fibre stuff from Cambridge which is great at sorting you out!

Let me know how you get on!

Have you considered Exante?
Its the same as cambridge but you order it online, if you are willing to buy the bumper pack and not order individual sachets its only £25/week compared to £40ish on cambridge.
I have done both and as long as you add a couple of tablet sweetners to the shakes (they dont contain sweetners) then they are nicer than the cambridge ones.

The diet is hard but works and yes maintainece is the hardest part!

I like the idea of weighing in weekly (is that what you do?) - actually having to go & do it will help. I'm so excited! Blush How log did anyone stay on sole source? I see you can do it above BMI 25 + 1st, which would be 11 stone for me I am hopin I can stay on SS 'til then.

you can do SS for a maximum of 12 weeks then you need to have a week on the 900 cal and then you can go back to SS for another 12 weeks or till your bmi is below 25 Smile
