Ive really behaved myself and managed to loose half a stone in 2 weeks, but ive heard of other people on diets saying they allowed themselves a night off and had a take out! Is this a good idea, im quite new to all this dieting stuff, and i dont want to undo any work ive done, but i have some friends coming over at the weekend and im thinking about having a take-out with them, help im not sure if its a good idea or not?

You can still have a take out. Its what you eat over a week that matters not just in one day.
Try to to order the healthiest stuff and you'll be fine.
I've heard that sometimes its good to have a 'day off' a diet as it kicks up your metabolism again, or something like that!

Well done so far and enjoy your night offSmile

Yes, a day off should be fine if it's planned and you maybe make a token effort to order a healthy-ish option. All healthy-eating resolutions go out of the window on my birthday, for example, but are back in force the next day.

Just don't slip into a binge by accident, then think 'oh, I've ruined the diet, so I might as well eat this box of chocolates/six-pack of crisps/large Dominos pizza as well'.

Last time I had a night off it lasted 18 months and I put all weight back on. But I guess it depends on your willpower.

Yes and no, ok to go out for dinner, get a takeaway but be a little cautious - eg go for the lower fat option, and don't drink any calories. but best not to forget you are on diet altogether
