i.e. carb content minus fibre. I am veggie and was dismayed at how much carb content there is for basic Quorn products. But the mince/chicken style pieces are 0 carb if I apply the above calculation. But it seems too good to be true?

Am doing a diet where you stick to 40-60g of carb per day, and this calculation would massively help. Does it work, is it really, truely true??? [desperate emoticon]

Id be interested in any advice on this would be great :)

if you plan a meal that is ...say...10 carbs

and the fibre is 6 carbs

you take away the fibre

so your net carbs are 4.

dandycandyjellybean · 14/11/2010 14:22

Thanks custardo. But what I cant understand is that both Quorn mince and chicken style pieces have more fibre than carb, hence deffo a zero. Can that be right?

unless its a uk product then google tells me they are already deducted

so just if its an imported product from the USA

dandycandyjellybean · 14/11/2010 14:29

bummer, I thought it was too good to be true!

in the uk they list the fibre completely seperate whereas the americans add them to the carb count.

I DIDN'T KNOW THAT!

it's going on my blog immediatley

Tortington · 14/11/2010 14:31

so how many carbs in a pack of mince quorn?

Tortington · 14/11/2010 14:33

does this help?

dandycandyjellybean · 14/11/2010 16:16

Yes thanks, i have emailed them, but it would seem that I have to take the carb listings as read on the package, not then take off the fibre listings as I was hoping!!! Thanks for clarifying.
