Hi

I am wondering if anyone out there with ore knowledge ( and patience) than me can reccomend a low calorie soup that is nicer than the heinz weight watchers ones?

Am off to sainsburys this afternoon, so will try and look ( with kids in tow) but any help would be great.

TIA

Does it need to be shop bought or would you be willing to make some? I follow ww and I have a recipe for potato+leek soup that is only 1 point per serving and is realy tasty and easy to make

I used to make my own soup when I did WW. I still do make my own, but I suspect that some of the recipes aren't so point-friendly!

Make a big vegetable soup with loads of 0 point vegetables, and then you can have as much of it as you like with a sandwich for lunch, or as a starter to fill you up a bit before your main meal.

i make carrot, garlic and coriander soup - point free. Very easy.

For work I quite often buy tesco light choices soups, they are nicer and cheaper than the ww ones, although more points. The tomato is 3 points for the can but nearly twice as big and much creamier than the ww which is 65pish and 1 point a can.

meant to say the tesco one is 40p a can

1 tsp or oilve oil/butter goes a long way in a massive pot of soup when frying the onions to give it richness.

Fry onions, add garlic, spices/herbs, and tinned toms and then add in whatever veggies you fancy! Simmer and blend. Never fails to make a nice soup I don't think Grin

I am on SW (not WW) but use frylight whilst frying onions/veg for soups so you don't necessarily need to use oil. Still tastes the same to me!

Hello - This caught my eye but I couldn't help but mention. Get Sainsbury's Own Carrot & Corriander Soup (fresh) Its SO low Cal and SO yummy!! Seriously - it's the lowest cal by FAR! Good luck!

Tesco do a range, can't remember the name but the cartons are identical looking to Covent Garden soups, cartons are 600g and most of them (from memory) worked out about 4 points maximum per carton.

Morrisons own fresh chilled soups are nice. ( I never get round to making my own)

The chicken and sweetcorn one is lovely and 2 points for a big bowl. And the creamy vegetable one is 1.5 points.
