Isn't LighterLife like the old slimfast or Cambridge diet?

I can't comment about the Cambridge Diet as I don't know anything about that one. But as for LL and Slimfast. IMO they are 2 totally different diets. Firstly because I hate slimfast shakes, they are way too sweet for me. I only managed slimfast for 2 days and was heaving with every mouthful of the shakes that I had!! Whereas with LL I really do like the shakes. Yes LL is expensive. £46:50 a week for a minimum of 14 weeks. So I'd say if you were thinking about doing LL you really have to be in the right frame of mind to loose weight as otherwise it's a hell of alot of money to throw away if your hearts not in it!!! The other main difference is that with slimfast you eat 1 meal a day whereas with LL you eat nothing. You have 3 mealpacks a day which are soups or shakes. The key to LL is drinking a minimum of 4 litres of water a day. It's learning to recognise that those hunger pangs aren't always hunger. THey are often thirst. I hope I'm making sence

The success I've had with LL is fantastic. I lost a stone in the 1st week alone. In the 14 weeks I lost just over 5 stone.

I hope that's a little help for you

Just about to start LL on thursday. it is expensive, but everything is prvided for you so you only need to buy water or just drink tap water and hopefully it will be worth it for the quick weight loss that i am expecting. i don't know of anyone who has started it who truly wanted to lose weight that hasn't succeeded.

and i like the idea of re-educating your thoughts one ating to help you keep the weight off afterwards.

Woodpops - with LL do you have to commit to pay for the 14 weeks or do you pay a week at a time and can you drop out at any stage?

Sorry if you've answered this one before, but I just wanted to clarify before I contact one of the counsellors.

Cheers

according to my information session with lighterlife on the first week you pay for 2 weeks thats one weeks worth of food packs and one weeks deposit.

you then pay weekly and in the final week of the first phase you get that week free (i.e your deposit back) if you quit before then you lose the weeks deposit.

I think it depends on your counciller. We just paid each week. But I do know that some take a week in advance and some a month.

That's it!! You go to councilling sessions weekly at which you have your weigh in, get your next weeks supply of mealpacks and have 2 hour group councilling session
