Four pounds is a great start and even a pound or half a pound a week will soon mount up. I would just concentrate on keeping a track of what you are eating and try to fit some form of exercise into each day. if you can't get to the gym, then walking is great exercise and perhaps you can fit that in with the DC's. Don't be despondent, you have made a good acheivement already and are on the way.

I must be rediculously amazingly huge then.

eat sensibly (say 1,400/1,500 calories per day), try and eat your 5 a day fruit and veg. aim for 1lb to 2lb a week weight loss, try and do 30 mins a week exercise 5 times a week, you can do that with the wii fit, or just brisk walking. So keep at it, and think lifestyle change, rather than crash diet.

Have a look at www.foodfocus.co.uk to keep control of your food intake.

Set yourself a weight goal that is both challenging, but achievable. Set mini goals along the way, and rewards for getting there. You can track your weight with www.fridgegraph.com and stick it on your fridge as a deterrent to snacking!

Hopefully, by doing this you'll change your relationship with food to a good, healthy one.
