Can you really go from a jelly belly to a toned one after 3 children ??

Had 3 dc, all by c-section, last one over 7yrs ago. I never did any proper exercise after the births, just your normal, walking everywhere, chasing after toddlers etc.

Was never really overweight, but my stomach did turn to jelly lol. About 2 years ago my weight slowly started to crep up, and so over the last few months, I have lost just over a stone and i'm back to the weight I was before I had my last child.

Anyway, what I want to know is, with exercise will the jelly belly ever go ?? I am doing a combination of exercise dvd's and wii fit, and make sure I always do as much abs stuff as possible, and I can feel it working above my belly button, but not below.

I have been told yes it is possible, by a friend who did pilates after her 3 DC.

(so i'm waiting til i've finished having DC, then i'll figure out what pilates is and do it, lol!)

Lol JKS, that did make me smile.

Hmmm never done pilates, and like you i'm not totally sure what it is.

I do a bit of yoga on the wii fit, along with muscle and aerobic workouts.

I've got a pilates dvd - pilates weight loss workout for dummies. The lady is very very annoying but it's great. 30 mins but every min counts!

I really hope I can do something about my jelly belly. I've also had 3 and though they weren't sections, my belly thinks they were. Got that whole jelly thing going on with a little kangaroo pouch too.

DH said if I felt that badly he'd pay for me to have a tummy tuck (was not pressuring me though!). I'd love to but I'm too scared!

Oh i'll look that up buttonmoon, thank's.

I know what you mean about a tummy tuck. I can't afford one, but even if I could, i'm not sure I would have one.

I really could do with one of them... the jelly belly is a bit of a concern for me too... although when I stand up it seems to not be there only when I sit I can see it!!!

My friend said its also possible to get a toned tummy back with the combination of cardio with toning exercises and a good diet and trying to avoid carbs as they bloat apparantley!

Tis wise to remember one has had 3 c-sections and as a result 3 glorious children, are you going to have the toned tummy of as per front of fitness mags - no. (but then they don't have your fab kids)!!
I swear by Pilates, have had 2 c sections, would love a 3rd (child that is not c section ) and I have to say my midriff looks better than pre kids. Go Online, find a proper Pilates class not one borne after a weekend jolly and pleeese let me know how you get on. Guarantee will do the trick.

3 children, two c/s's, still got the jelly-belly but it's better after 6 months pilates. However, it's v easy to do pilates wrong - i started at gym where instructor didn't teach me properly - I go to class now , once a week and midriff defo improving.

I found the 30 day shred really helped tone my stomach up - both abs/obliques and TVA.

Unfortunately my glorious 6 pack is still covered by a fairly sizeable layer of fat.

Although in 6 months I've gone from a size 18 to a size 12, I can't seem to shift the last bit of fat on my belly, bingo wings and inner thighs.
