Right my weight has gotten seriously out of control! After losing 4 stone 2 years ago I have now put half of it back on I have a party in 9 weeks and 4 days that I want to look as amazing as I can for. I am 5ft 3 and weight 12 stone (although since I weighed 11st 9 on Saturday morning I am guessing a fair bit of this is water weight due to pizza and chinese over the weekend .

I work part time and seem to be very busy most of the time so need something that suits a busy lifestyle. I do BMF three times a week so get good exercise (well I haven't done it for a few weeks tbh as DH had a deadline and couldn't get home to watch the kids). I HATE salads, fruit and yogurt (can tolerate fruit yogurt just). I have a big savoury tooth and love meat and cheese but also am a bit addicted to bread and potatoes.

And yes I know it is healthier to lose slowly blah blah blah but I want to get a quick fix for this party so I am not listening to reason!

Hi Nikki

I have never done Atkins as was not keen on the high fat content, but can vouch for Dukan. The initial Attack phase can last between 3 ? 7 days depending on how much you want to lose.
The Dukan website will give you your ?true weight?.
On Protein only days, my meals tend to look like this...
Breakfast - lean ham and poached eggs, scrambled eggs (if I have time - am pretty bad with making sure I have breakfast)

Lunch - Chicken slices or turkey slices, or ham slices (you get the idea )

Supper - low fat burgers or smoked salmon with dill and fat free plain yoghurt or steak, or steamed fish... Lots of chicken salads or omelets too

No veg allowed at all on attack, or protein only days.

I always have a fat and sugar free yoghurt, mixed with extra fat free plain yoghurt and add oat bran and wheat bran for a snack in the evening - just sweet enough to dull any cravings!

You must also drink at least 1.5 ltrs a day. Water is best, but sugar free squash ok, as are diet drinks such as diet coke (and others as long a sodium is low) This diet is tough on the kidneys if you do not drink enough.
Tea, coffee etc is also fine, as long as you use skimmed milk and sweetener.

Good luck - It really does work if you can get over your cravings!
