Calories from juicing?

Hi,
does anyone know if the calories are pretty much the same whether I juice for example an apple or just eat it as it comes? I know a fair amount of pulp is not consumed, but I'm guessing most of thecalories are in the juice?
If anyone can confirm this it would be great.

The thing is with juicing is that you have to juice more than one fruit to get a decent amount of juice, so maybe five apples, two bananas and two oranges.

Which is more fruit that a normal person would eat in one sitting.

It's all the (naturally occuring) sugar you need to watch out for.

I think!

I was told to eat as much raw unprocessed food as possible ( and I mean processed at home iyswim ) So an apple takes a long time to eat and contains the same amount of calories as a cooked apple , faster to eat ,and the same as a juiced apple ,gulp and gone. There is a danger of just taking in lots of calories by juicing .

Also the fibre and bulk of an apple means that it is lower GI (or has a lower glycemic load) than a juiced apple.

It is much better to eat an apple than to juice one.

It's not just all about calories, not at all. It's more complex than that. More to do with fat metabolising hormones such as insulin and leptin.
