What should I wear to my daughter’s Las Vegas elopement?

My daughter, middle child, is eloping and has asked me along. To Las Vegas and the Little White Wedding Chapel. The grooms mum cant go so just me and my husband...her step dad (dad deceased) so I'm very honoured. Probs the only one of my 3 to get married looking ahead. She's wearing the attached. It's her in the dress and accessories just AI background. In the UK the mother of the bride would normally wear a pretty dress/jumpsuit and a fascinator of sorts. What would you suggest for LV for me that might compliment her aesthetic? It will be in May. I will be 54. A size 12-14. Mousey blond highlighted collar bone length hair. I prefer dresses to trousers. I have a tattooed left arm and I would like a covered back. I have some ideas I'm just not sure so i am open to what others might have as ideas! Thank you!

What time is the wedding? I think this could help you to narrow it down a little.

(I would go for a dress with a pencil skirt and a batwing upper half which works well in the heat and is also a bit special, but I’m afraid I’ve nothing helpful to suggest).

I always thought eloping was running away to get married in secret, so I didn't think a mother would be there! Anyway, as it's a bit of a different wedding, I'd say wear something a bit different too and don't worry about what's expected for a mother of the bride. I like your daughter's outfit!

We also married at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas back in 2006. We had three guests. We hired a photographer, then had a photo taken under the Welcome to Last Vegas made into a postcard which we sent it to everyone we knew. 20 years later, still married and no regrets regarding our wedding choices.

Something light and floaty OP... it will be very hot in Las Vegas in May. If you've not been there before, you're going to love it. It's ridiculously over the top and fabulous Have a great time.

I remember those bell sleeves from the 60s! I don’t think I’ve seen them since. The dress length and shape, and the boots, are just right for the time, too.

White patent knee high boots would be even better for the look, but any boots would be too warm from what pps have said.

There are lots of polka dots around at the moment.I'd go a light , not too structured navy and white polka dot dress.It will be so hot.

I'd suggest a sleek sleeveless shift dress with matching Chanel style cropped jacket, in a lightweight fabric. Sorry, I'm imagining this in my head and don't have any links.
I love your daughter's outfit but it is sleek and minimal so choose your outfit with care so that it is not taking attention away from your daughter. I'd avoid anything fussy, patterned or detailed. I'd also think carefully about very bright colours.

I know this is pretty obvious @Willyoushutthefrontdoor and we had some practise this year in the UK (not sure where you live anyway) but it will be cool a/c indoors and red hot outside most likely … so if you end up with a few to choose from that you like, go for something that won’t cause overheating. Maybe a light short cardi with a lace back over a sleeveless dress or something like that? There are some lovely ones other posters have put on here …

Honestly, I’ve been to a Las Vegas wedding and the pink dress you’ve picked with removable cape top is PERFECT.

itll be hot but its a dry heat so you don’t sweat, just feel like you can’t breathe if you’re outside too long BUT every building is air conditioned to the max.
