Cosmetic/useful items provided in Guest Cloakroom at wedding

DD is currently planning her wedding, and will include a selection of 'useful' items in a basket in the cloakrooms - such items as deodorant, hairspray, mini perfumes, headache tablets, plasters, tampons, safety pins etc.

Just wondering if anyone has come across these before (I'm sure loads of you have!) and if you have any particular tips for items that were really useful.

Thanks for any ideas!

Pads as well as tampons as not everyone uses tampons.

Nice idea but I’ve not come across this. Are you meaning the public toilets at the venue?
Don’t want to put a dampener on the idea but if several people are using the spray deodorants and perfumes in a confined space this could cause problems for any asthmatics.
I’d probably have an asthma attack in that situation.

Thanks @purser25 - will include!

We hadn't thought of any problems for asthmatics @24Dogcuddler , but that's a very valid concern. Thank you for pointing it out.

I've seen flip-flops provided before!

I did this for my wedding, all of the above, then blister plasters, hair grips, these wipes that get stains out ie if someone drops soup down their tie, mints and gum, breath spray, tissues, eye drops and I did include a few boiled sweets!

I was at a wedding with all of this. None was used and it proved a complete waste of money.

My Dds Bridesmaid did this i think someone used a plaster and maybe a spray of hairspray the rest was taken home, im not wanting to be a killjoy but it was an absolute waste, the venue had a basket of sanitary protection, and fancy handcream.

This is taking me back to my clubbing days in the 90’s when you were expected to leave money for the toilet attendant. I don’t think it’s particularly necessary nowadays unless this is a 3 day event with no access to showers

I supplied bobbles, hair clips, dental picks, deodorant, hair spray etc. don’t think much was used.

I’d agree that tampons and pads would be great. I had to nip down the road and get some from the supermarket at my nieces wedding when the mother of the groom had a very unexpected period.

Otherwise just provide things you use yourself, then nothing will be wasted. I’d be a bit careful re medications in case someone is careless with doses.

Recently married and the things that were used were:
In the Ladies: hairspray, pads, tampons, deodorant, body spray, mints, plasters
In the Mens: deodorant, aftershave, mints, plasters, rennie
We also bought 50 pairs of flipflops (we had 200 guests so approx 100 women?) And 3 pairs were left over!
Not used: tooth picks, bobbins, slides for hair, safety pins, hair gel.
Defo wasn't a waste and we just brought home whatever wasn't used but there wasn't much left over!
