Where to stay night before wedding?

Hello!

Getting married in a little over a year. The venue does not have any accommodation apart from a honeymoon suite the night of the wedding. However we can use their bridal suite from 8:15 to get ready.
My dilemma is this… I live just over an hour away from the venue so it will be a lot easier for us to be closer on the day. I was thinking of renting a house/air bnb close to the venue, but I can’t find anywhere big enough that is within 30 minutes. They mostly all just have 3 bedrooms and sleep 6 but I have 8 people in my bridal party. The other option is to just find a hotel nearby.. there are a few but they are all over 20 minutes away still.

I was wondering if anyone has experience of getting married and staying in a hotel the night before or is planning on doing this? Due to the size of my wedding party we would need to start getting ready at like 6:30/7am but my venue doesn’t let us use the room until 8:15. Would we be better not using the venue at all and just getting ready at the hotel? If so, I feel like I would then need to hire wedding cars because I can’t exactly get a taxi can I in my dress wjth everyone? And because I’m staying at the venue the night of the wedding, I would have to bring my bag and all of my belongings with me in the car.
I was thinking of maybe just doing hair and make up at the hotel and then all getting a taxi together to the venue to finish off getting dressed but this might be too much faffing around and having to transport my dress in the taxi. I just don’t know how to work it, can anyone help?

Are you getting married very early in the day ?
I don't understand why anyone would want to start getting ready at 6.30am Confused

Your wedding is supposed to be an enjoyable day.

I'd go there on the morning if you are still going to have to travel anyway.

I got a taxi to my wedding

And the wedding we went to at the weekend the bride, bridesmaids and parents all arrived in taxis (the groom walked).

If you have more hair and make up people then they could get through the 8 of you much more quickly. That might allow you to leave home at 7, arrive at the venue for 8.15 and have everyone ready on time. What time is the wedding?

6.30? Then carting all of your stuff to the venue? Not much fun for anyone. Get more hairdressers and just meet at the venue from 8.15 surely?

If you live just under an hour away, and you can't find anywhere to stay less than 30 minutes away, I'd travel from home and have the benefit of getting ready in my own space. It's not that different. Use the money you'd spend on a night before hotel to hire a minibus and driver that will drive you and the bridesmaids etc to the venue. And, as everyone has said, what time is the wedding booked for? If early in the day, I'd see if you can move it to a later slot so you can relax a bit more.

You can definitely get a taxi with your wedding dress

I stayed at a luxury resort in Khao Yai Thailand the night before my sister's wedding, and it was honestly perfect—calm, beautiful, and had loads of space for us to get ready without stress. The scenery helped with nerves too. If you're after somewhere peaceful but still special, that sort of setting might be worth looking into even if you're not getting married abroad.
