Elopement dresses

Does anyone know where is good to look for a dress for an elopement? If it's relevant it's wedding #2 for me and wedding #1 for the groom (but he's rather reclusive so doesn't want extravagance, and neither do I)

We eloped and I wore the sort of dress I would have worn as a wedding guest.

What styles do you like? Are you eloping soon? (Long or short sleeve). Are you open to trousers or a jumpsuit?

Any dress you like will do in any colour you like. It's all for you so be yourself. It can be fancy or simple.

For some reason I always think that having running shoes on is essential for an elopement 🤣 because I imagine the groom and bride on the run!!

@MaitlandGirl I'd never considered this but will have a look and see

@PenneyFouryourthoughts I think I want something short and tea length. Not overly fitted and maybe a sleeve? We are very early stages of planning so no date set yet. I think I'd prefer a dress rather than trousers/jumpsuit

@WandsOut this is very true. Haha love it 👟

I wore a Ghost Meryl dress for my registry office wedding and it was perfect

Also as it's just you and him, something you can easily transport and get into yourself and know you just feel fantastic in. Maybe a dress you can dress up or down for other days during your honeymoon.

One of the nicest wedding dresses I ever saw was a 60's wedding where the bride had a simple A-line cream lace dress which she then wore during her honeymoon with different accessories and it was just a perfect and simple and versatile piece that she loved wearing over the years.
When you elope, you write the book.
