We have been given the canape menu from the wedding venue we are looking at using ( barn wedding ) and just wondered which 4 other people would pick? :)
Thank you

Depends on how many and the types of veggies you have going.

Our wedding had a few vegetarians, but a few of them were pescetarians rather than full veggie, so I would go two meat, one fish and one veggie. If you have a few veggies though I'd do either two meat and two veg or even one meat and three veg.

I only ate one of my own wedding canapes and I chose the veggie one.

Personally from your list I'd have:

  • cheddar croquettes
  • yorkshire pudding
  • smoked haddock
  • falafel bites

yum!

croquettes
yorkies
scallop smarties
falafel

Depends on what dietary requirements you have amongst your guest list but I'd go:

1 meat
1 fish (avoid shellfish ones unless you are sure no allergies)
2 veggie, make one of them vegan and the other one not

and make sure at least 1 is gluten free

I would choose:

  • yorkshire puds

  • smoked haddock fritters

  • falafel

  • greek salad on a stick

I second these!

We had mini Yorkshire puds at our wedding as one of the canapes they were divine!

Croquettes or Yorkshires, King prawns, asparagus, hummus

Allthegoodnamestakken · 18/08/2022 14:18

I'd go for croquettes, yorkshires, sausages and falafel but I can't think of a single veggie or vegan that would be on my wedding guest list but a few fussy eaters and kids who would appreciate sausages. Swap these out for another veggie option if needed.

Would the Yorkshire puddings be small enough and dry so able to eat without spillage and cutlery?

The stilton and Marie Rose would need tasting to see if it works?

Viscerally dislike the meaty fishy veggie labels.

Good luck.
