Bridal preparation

Following on from the other thread about having a photographer for bridal prep I am looking for advice. My DD is getting married soon and she along with 5 bridesmaids and myself are getting ready at my house.

I am trying to think ahead to avoid as many stressful moments as possible but also looking for a few ideas to make it a special time that she will remember fondly so am looking for hints and tips please. What is likely to go wrong and how can I avoid it.
TIA

Either prepare some easy to eat food the day before or pre order some sandwiches so that there's something to munch on that won't be too messy. Nothing worse than being hungry. Make sure she keeps hydrated (water, not just booze). Prepare to be ready at least half an hour before you actually need to be ready.

I second the food suggestion!

We got afternoon tea delivered on my wedding morning, no one opened a bottle of champagne till they’d had something to eat - my mammy was very strict on that!

Check with hair and makeup how long should be allowed for each person and make sure the bride is done last and has an hour once finished to get dressed and sorted.
Also get the hairdresser to show someone how to take out veil/ hairpiece without messing the hair up.

Extra phone chargers, tissues, deodorant, and umbrellas just incase.

Present her with something old new borrowed blue during the day.

Thank you for the suggestions. I particularly like the afternoon tea delivery suggestion as trying to keep 7 other people fed whilst at the same time getting ready myself and also leaving the house in not too bad a state sounds stressful.

@TheDuchessOfBeddington I think we have those sorted although must ask her about something blue. My contribution is an engraved locket which we think was given to her great great grandma for her wedding in 1906.

I will also add umbrellas and deodorant to the list. Thank you.
