What are some wedding venue ideas for little to no guests here (uk ) or abroad
Possibly just the bride & groom & their 2 children
And where to look its a mind field

My friend did this, just 4 guests = 4 parents, and the bride and groom.

They got married in a tiny chapel on the middle of nowhere in the Lake district. Then the 6 of them went out for a meal at a local hotel. Parents left and the bride and groom stayed at the hotel for 2 nights.

Oo that sounds nice
No parents tho as they are divorced and wont be in the same room, the grooms parents are alcoholics so not sure what they would do its a nightmare
If any guests it would be the brides sisters and their partners but it may only be the bride & groom & their 2 little kids
Thanks

Religious or not?
This year or next?
Given the unpredictability of the quarantine situation I wouldn’t plan on overseas for this year.

There’s some pretty places here.
I’d go for Portmeirion myself - the DC would love it and they could probably arrange a teeny wedding for you midweek.

I think if I didn't want the church, I would find a hotel, and ask about small weddings.

The key I think is to get a small space, so you feel as if you are rattling round.

Most hotels probably has options as to spaces.

or go for somewhere unusual, so if there is a castle that allows wedding, is there an interesting space there you can use.

I think having a nice meal afterwards helps it to feel like a bigger event.
Have you though about honeymoon? Are kids coming too, or how about the kids go home for the night with the sister, so couple have one night in the hotel/castle etc

@Lolalolalolalolalola it's worth speaking to some venues. I got married at the Grand Hotel in Swanage during August a few years ago and the weather was lovely so we married in the garden. We only had 11 people (including us) and then just had a meal in the restaurant- it was perfect for us - we wandered to the beach and had a mess around there and some photos

We have booked Edinburgh city chambers in June. Just us, photographer and her friend as witnesses. We are then staying at a fab hotel for a few nights. Was really easy to book, although this was done in August. In Scotland you can marry anywhere the registrar agrees, in England it needs to be a registered venue

I seriously considered Thornbury Castle near Bristol, it’s a beautiful hotel, amazing food and they had an elopement package that also included a stay on your 1st anniversary
