Artificial bouquet

Does anyone know where I can purchase an artificial bridal bouquet?

I’m having a tiny ceremony at the end of the month and don’t want to fork out for a real bouquet!

Have you tried Etsy?

Boredinthehouse12 · 31/08/2020 20:30

Hi @darciesdream I’ve had a quick browse and it looks as though it’s averaging £50 for just the bridal bouquet. Sounds a bit much much to me. Surely a real one can’t be much experience?

Oh really?! If it helps, I paid £75 for mine and they were fresh flowers.

You might be able to buy cheap silk ones on eBay if you're brave/creative enough time make your own?

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful!

Boredinthehouse12 · 31/08/2020 20:36

Oh right I see. Perhaps my expectations are just a bit unrealistic. You have been a help.. Thank you!

Not cheap, but I got a paper flower bouquet.

I'd buy a bunch of roses the day before and retie it myself neatly.

Cheap fake flowers are never going to look great, but real ones will always be lovely, even if they're supermarket ones.

The re-tieing won't be difficult, just chop them to the right length, remove thorns and extraneous leaves, and wrap the stems on ribbon.

Enjoy!

I think I’m going to have to just pay the £80 + for the flowers. I think I just wasn’t aware how much bridal bouquets cost .. yikes

No don't op!

I made my own. Bought some flowers from therange, some wire, ribbon and pins. Probably cost me about £20 if that and it's beautiful even if I do say so myself. They do have some ready made ones I think too.

My bridal bouquet was £90, I got married this month. I thought it was crazily expensive and debated an artificial one, but I absolutely loved my bouquet and it’s given me a lot of happiness in the two weeks since we got married... it’s starting to look a bit worn now, but it’s lasted beautifully and it looked gorgeous in all the photos that I’ve seen so far.

I did get married 3 years ago but got a small silk bouquet for about £30 online for me

JustAPassingFashion · 31/08/2020 20:55

Ikea have some artificial bouquets in atm! Designed to go in a case but I assume could easily be cut down to length and wrapped with ribbon?

JustAPassingFashion · 31/08/2020 20:55

Sorry a vase, not a case

Kdee52 · 31/08/2020 20:59

Make your own!! We bought some artificial flowers from The range (wilkos also do some) and made bridesmaids bouquets to save on costs. Watch some youtube tutorials on how to make it and buy a ribbon from a haberdashery. Good luck OP!

I had a fake bouquet but it looked very real, I found a florist on eBay

Babyshine2020 · 31/08/2020 21:03

I got all my flowers from here. www.jjshouse.co.uk/

These were mine ..
Highly edited so they were more yellow in real love.. I guess it depends what you want!

thatwouldbeanecumenicalmatter · 31/08/2020 21:04

I've been looking at getting some artificial flowers for the house (sadly real ones don't last 5 minutes with a cat who thinks it her own personal salad bar HmmGrin) personally the ones that look most realistic are peonies - they're also quite large so you wouldn't need that many to make a boquet.

Filmnight · 31/08/2020 21:09

I watched YouTube videos beforehand, and bought ribbon, pins and wire, then bought flowers from Asda the day before. Bridesmaids and I sat and made all our bouquets. It was mega-cheap and I was pleased with the results!

AWryGiraffe · 31/08/2020 21:11

You can get some lovely dried flower bouquets on eBay, I'm looking at these for my wedding next year.

Toddlerteaplease · 31/08/2020 21:36

My sister has had one FB made of felt. It's lovely.

Thanks all! I’m going to have a look on YouTube for some inspiration. I really don’t want to spend the money on real ones, especially as we fly out on honeymoon the next day. At the same time I’m afraid that if I do it myself, it’ll look like a 5 year olds art project.

I only have 4 weeks left so I’m starting to panic!

ivykaty44 · 31/08/2020 21:55

what colour scheme?

BlenheimOrange · 31/08/2020 22:00

I think if you go to a small local florist they will tie a ‘posy’ (rather than a huge trailing bouquet) quite simply for you for very little money. It’s just about having the stems together so you don’t keep jabbing yourself! I did my own very cheaply - lots of greenery, alstroemeria and hypericums.

Bluemooninmyeyes1 · 03/09/2020 10:47

I got mine from jj house, reasonably priced and I’m happy with it.
