Something old, something borrowed...

My best friend who is getting married has asked us for her something old and something borrowed.. we're all abit stuck on what we can give her..

I mentioned about a piece of jewellery or something off her mum/nana for her something old but she said they don't have anything like that.

What did you guys get for your something old and something borrowed?

i had an old brooch off my mum, and pinned it to my bouquet, but you could have a look online ? this is lovely

for my something borrowed, i had a gorgeous cake knife from my nana. however friends have borrowed things such as a clutch, so they have a place to keep their things.

all the best x

My something old and blue was a necklace pendant off my mum that I tied around my bouquet on satin ribbon (I didn’t want to wear a necklace).
My borrowed was a bracelet.

My mum borrowed a sixpence, my aunt bought it specially to lend it out so was still borrowed, as they’re no longer in use they are also old and bonus is it’s licky for a bride to walk on one in her shoe, you could get a sixpence online on eBay/Etsy or similar for under a fiver and lend it too her 😁

My bridesmaids bought me a pair of vintage earrings for something old and my 'borrowed' was MIL's pearls and tiara.

I borrowed jewellery and have also lent jewellery and also my wedding tiara to friends which make lovely links between our ceremonies. I carried my grandmother's wedding ring in my dress pocket as my something old. These things don't have to be smart or even visible to everyone. My something blue was embroidery on a hanky, also in my pocket. Don't let the bride forget the sixpence for her shoe!

For my old I had my Christening bangle I was given as a child extended to fit my wrist. My borrowed was a bit ostentatious as the jewellers my engagement ring came from had a small diamond tiara that could be borrowed if you had purchased an engagement ring from certain ranges.

My engagement ring was old because it was my nan's. My sister lent me a blue ring of hers which I wore on the other hand, so that covered off blue and borrowed!

I borrowed a few old photographs of my dad from my mum's albums, which I put in my handbag. (my dad passed away over ten years ago).

I'm borrowing a hanky from my mum to put in my bag. Old is a necklace of my grandma's (thought she'd lend it to me, but she gave it to my instead as she doesn't wear it). New is my dress, blue a beaded bracelet and I've a sixpence on a keyring for my mobility scooter keys - more comfy than putting it in my shoe!
