Our wedding isn’t for a year, but I keep having random panics that despite best efforts everyone will just be bored and no one will dance. Is it just me?? I think I may have lost all sense of perspective!!

I have this all the time. Getting married in 6 months and doing it almost completely DIY, so constantly panicking that I'll forget something really important and people will have a rubbish time!

You definately have lost all sense of perspective, try having a critically ill child, a stressful job, brexit pressures etc

Grow up. It’s a wedding- it’s about you and your fiancé who you see everyday just having fun. Everyone is there to help you have fun. Having panic attacks about such a minor thing isn’t normal. No one cares about your wedding other than you.

I felt like this as I'd been to wedding that were BORING but as long as you play true party songs that most generations like you'll be sorted plus you'll be so busy enjoying your day you won't notice! Have an amazing wedding it really is the best day! Smile

I don’t know your friends and family but it seems unlikely to me that people will be bored. There’s usually a lot of goodwill on a wedding day and people are excited to be part of the celebration and see everyone. That will carry things along. In terms of the dance floor, it’s true that at some weddings the dance floor really takes off and at some others it doesn’t. But when it doesn’t its not generally because people are bored. Rather that it’s a more relaxed kind of vibe and they’re enjoying mingling etc. It might help to be aware that the dancefloor might not be pumping all night. But that wouldn’t stop it being an amazing wedding.
