I need ideas for favours

The wedding is in 11 weeks so I've now hit bridezilla stage. I need some ideas for favours. Still waiting on a few rsvps but will need circa 65 adults and 4 kids. I don't like lottery tickets, jam, almonds, scratch cards,

We did sweets to eat while waiting for the food (I'm always starving at weddings by the time the food arrives). The wedding was at a converted dairy farm so we served them in tiny milk pails. Plus some stickers/colouring bits/bubbles for the children.

Jäger bombs
Colouring books

"Don't bother. It's such a wasteful and useless expense."

I agree. The guests won't care or remember. The only things guests care about or will remember is the food, the drink, and the weather.

Fripperies like favours and matchy matchy stuff like chair covers are a complete waste of money IMO. I would spend the money on the catering/drinks instead.

We did nigella seeds (love on the mist) and a family member printed out grow some love on the packets as favours - we also put alka seltzer on the table for the hangovers!

I bought little bottles of booze from drinks supermarket. Tied a label round them with the persons name so made favour and table place all in one. I bought luggage labels and printed out on envelope labels (pinched from work). All in all cost about £50.

I agree with a lot of pp in that favours can be an unnecessary expense. Unfortunately, on several occasions I have forgotten to lift favours at the end of the night Confused
I get married in the summer and we are going with Cancer Research pins, there's quite a few to choose from so we're getting so many of each and writing a wee message to remember my step-dad Smile
If people leave them behind, no matter, money has went to a great cause.

We are having our wedding in a barn and so happy we found these rustic hessian favour bags. Want to fill them with something other than the usual things, any ideas based around our rustic theme?

@blueskyinmarch

I wouldn't bother. It is an unnecessary expense and people will just leave them lying on the table.
This ^^

I love the charity pin idea. My brother sadly won't be able to attend the wedding due to his condition so I love the idea of honouring him and raising awareness through donation.
While I would be happy about the donation I wouldn't want a charity pin, and would leave it behind. Don't bother with anything that can't be consumed.

Things like wax melts wouldn't appeal to most people TBH.

Generally I'd say don't bother - so many get left

But I think this would be a lovely idea - and very fitting to your circumstances.

I'd do activity bags for children as well (help keep then occupied)

When is the wedding ? I love things people can use / drink or eat .
Homemade sloe gin or plants

I don’t know why people put their questions on zombie threads instead of starting a new one. People don’t realise, miss the new post and just answer the OP without realising.

We did mini American chocolates in clear bags...would do paper bags now as this was years ago but they went down well!
