Channel your inner James Bond or Pussy Galore to suit our casino theme

But won't chips also be used on the casino tables? So they can choose either or? But you need to make sure you have plenty then and lots of £1 and £2 chips for change at the bar. Also what happens with left over chips?

Just things to consider

littlemissM92 · 20/07/2017 16:12

Exactly middle - I don't think it's that straight forward sadly x

You can agree to refund any unused chips at the end of the night.

What do you imagine people wearing ideally? If it's just a nice dress / suit I'd probably nor mention it. If it's a theme then do. Either way the suggestion upthreaf was great

You just need to use different coloured chips....

LapinR0se · 20/07/2017 17:19

I would look askance at any invitation telling me about cash chips and dressing to impress. Just cheapens the whole thing.

You can tell your friends it's casino-themed and word will quickly get round. Most people will then dress up a bit more.

I should imagine the vast majority of people will expect to buy a drink at a wedding and will just be pleasantly surprised when they get to the bar and discover it's subsidised.

MiddleClassProblem · 20/07/2017 17:19

But aren't chips of different colours needed to show the denomination. Could get a bit confusing. Particularly when tipsy.

I'd just make sure there was plenty of change behind the bar

Doobigetta · 20/07/2017 17:51

I think the casino chips thing is a nice idea but will introduce complications you don't need. Just say cash bar and let the caterers worry about providing change.
If "short and snazzy" is what you're thinking, why not use that as your dress code? Don't worry about the moaning on here, people who will moan will probably enjoy ignoring your dress code anyway, but others may appreciate the tip. I'm guessing I'm a lot older and less blingy in my taste than you, but if I saw your dress code I'd know to wear something more on the glam side and less naice respectable floral, and I'd be fine with that. I'd much rather know what the general style would be than guess and stick out like a sore thumb.

Are you having an actual casino at the reception?

littlemissM92 · 25/07/2017 22:05

Yes

It's cheesy, but I like it.
