A peony?

peanutbutter2409 · 06/03/2017 17:38

I think it's an old fashioned rose but I may be wrong

IAmcuriousyellow · 06/03/2017 17:40

Ranunculus? Aka Persian Buttercup. They come in loads of beautiful colours, I'm sure thats what it is. Loads of petals like a rose but much more circular.

peanutbutter2409 · 06/03/2017 17:40

Ooooh I think it may be a Ranunculus

peanutbutter2409 · 06/03/2017 17:42

Ranunculus. Had them in my bouquet.

yorkshirepuddingandroastbeef · 06/03/2017 17:48

The flowers in that pic are:-

Pink - ranunculus
Pink small cerise - waxflower
White - lisianthus
White small bobble - gypsophilia
Green bobble - green bell

Ranunculus is a spring flower so will be available between Jan to April. They are beautiful but can be quite expensive. You'll get it the rest of the year but will pay £££. Other spring flowers are anemones, tulips, hyacinths, muscari.

When are you getting married?

IAmcuriousyellow · 06/03/2017 17:50

Just lovely. They're a late spring bloomer in the uk but sure florists can get them all year round.

LadyMaryofDownt0n · 06/03/2017 17:50

They're artificial arnt they? But yes, ranunculus very pretty.

MollyHuaCha · 06/03/2017 17:52

My favourite flowers Flowers

IAmcuriousyellow · 06/03/2017 17:53

They're a late spring flower but sure florists can get them all year round. They last a long time as a cut flower too so perfect for your bouquet!

itsbetterthanabox · 06/03/2017 20:56

No they aren't artificial they are real. I took the pic at a wedding I was at.
My wedding is right at the end of May. So will I not be able to have them?
Depending on if they are in fact peonies or ranunculus lol!

I'm sure you'll be able to get them in late may - I'm sure you could get them any time of year but as yorkshire says above the more out of season the more you'll pay. I'm certain they're Ranunculus! Peonies are not quite so "regular" and have more variation of colour in their (lovely) petals.

Thecontentedcat · 06/03/2017 21:35

Definitely ranunculus, lovely!

Thecontentedcat · 06/03/2017 21:38

There will lots of lovely flowers in may, choose things that are in flower locally and then you can grow them in your garden and be reminded of your beautiful flowers at your lovely wedding at the time of your anniversary.

GladysKnight · 06/03/2017 21:42

These sorts of roses, www.davidaustinroses.co.uk/popular-searches/highly-recommended/ "english" roses, are quite similar. a lot smell heavenly too. I don't know if any pink ones are in flower in May, but they would be a lovely thing to grow at home, like contentedcat suggests
