If you're an emotional wreck at the best of times??
I am usually in floods at other people's weddings as soon as I hear the dress rustle. Had our rehearsal last night and I could barely speak for the lump in my throat, tears rolled, the lot.
Whilst I don't mind a bit of emotion and everyone will expect it from me I really don't want to look like a gibbering idiot, HELP please!!

The last wedding I went to the groom wailed all the way through.

I find that clenching your buttocks helps when you feel that lump coming.

Also, if you feel weepy, pause and take a deep breath before you try to speak (clenching buttocks tightly).

Not sure how it works, but I proise it helps Grin

Have a great day.

Thanks Jaybird!
I shall try the buttock clenching, have also read about pinching between thumb & forefinger. Not sure i'll be able to pinch and clench and speak tho!!
Perhaps I will stick to clenching!

Well done Blondie!

I cried when I visited the place on Friday.

What on Earth am I going to do when I'm there for the real thing?

Wept buckets at the civil ceremony, which meant I had got it out of the way for the church ceremony a few days later. I recommend this.
