How to dress a newborn

I gave birth to my first baby in May and I’m getting myself really stressed about the types of clothes she should wear whilst she’s out in her pram, her grandma is taking her out for the first time today for a walk and she will be in the pram with a sunshade, it is 17 degrees Celsius and sunny with clouds (I live in England) - I’m constantly In fear she is going to be too hot, is a a vest and onesie too much for that weather ? But then is just a onesie not enough - any advice for dressing a baby for the weather is much appreciated 😂😂

Layers. Vest, onesie, cardigan. Something to stop wind like a thin blanket kept under the pram. Weather can be changeable, so layers can be useful as they can be added or removed.
Where I am in England it is already 21 degrees in the shade and is set to get a lot hotter. Avoiding sunburn would be the issue where I am, with them probably having just nappy and as thin a onesie as possible, with a spare long sleeve vest if the onesie gets too hot.

My DD hated the heat so in this weather would have been in just a nappy, possibly a vest. Lying on top of a muslin as it seemed cooler than the pram lining.

Agree with pp it’s all about layers and options.
