Might not be due to rain reading the slightly updated article.

The Daily Mail has some storm pictures here.

ChippingInAutumnLover · 14/11/2014 11:05

I had no idea you guys were going through this!

Flying tin baths?? That's pretty scary!

I hadn't heard about the M25 either, I'll go and have a read.

Hope you are all ok.

I'm in the SE, it's wet here, but not much wind. Very definitely shades of last year though, mild & wet. Very wet. The ground hasn't recovered from last year so roads are getting puddling water/small areas of flooding as soon as it rains. If it keeps this up we're going to have lakes instead of paddocks again in no time.

Sunshine in Dorset today. Shock I'm hanging as much washing on the line as possible.

marne2 · 14/11/2014 11:25

Yes Pete, it's lovely out, managed to walk the dogs without getting wet and it's quite warm out, make the most of it Grin

marne2 · 14/11/2014 11:26

Last nights storm was quite exciting, kept me awake but was worth it, I do love thunder.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 14/11/2014 11:46

On closer inspection this morning its not roof tiles on the path I think its part of the brickwork from the front of the house.

blackeyedsusie · 14/11/2014 13:07

it threw it down this morning. water across most of the raod again. water gushing out of the manhole covers that still have not been repaired. sunny now. w mids

Optimism · 14/11/2014 14:02

'On ITS way' please Mumsnet, no apostrophe needed!

CharlesRyder · 14/11/2014 16:55

I enjoyed the storm too- actually woke me up. Also in Dorset.

MrPickles123 · 14/11/2014 20:09

The rain was very very heavy this morning and the m25 is a nightmare ??with surrey county council doing roadworks just about everywhere, my usual journey of 30 mins was over 90. Weather looking ok for next few days though.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 14/11/2014 23:07

We have a respite for a few days (apart from perhaps the far SW) then mid week it looks to start again.

You can check out your local river levels here

When you said respite, did you mean pouring rain, thunder and lightning? Grin

OhYouBadBadKitten · 16/11/2014 00:26

Oh definitely. I meant exactly that. Have you appreciated your lovely exactly the same weather break?

OP posts:
HarveySchlumpfenburger · 16/11/2014 15:56

I did very much. The thunder and lightning was a change. I like a good storm, although I do prefer a small gap between the lightning and the thunder. Lots of flooded areas too, which we haven't had yet this winter.

ArchangelGallic · 16/11/2014 16:13

OYBBK have you heard any rumours about lots of snow this winter?
Our local paper are trying to tell us this will be the worst winter for 30 and posted aerial shots of people queuing for bread in a snow-bound village.

Hmm
trikken · 16/11/2014 16:19

They said that last year and we got none, not even a wisp.

ilovechristmas1 · 16/11/2014 16:27

i would of thought with all this rain already i would of thought there would be more interest in how the SW is coping as already they have had their share of rain

ilovechristmas1 · 16/11/2014 16:27

by the press i mean
