Easter Holiday weather thread.

Will we have wall to wall sunshine or will we be digging Easter eggs out of snow drifts?

At the moment GFS goes up to Sat 12th April, so Easter weekend is not quite in the picture. However the first week of many peoples school hols (sat 5th April on) looks like a very typical April set up. Lots of showers, but some sunshine and temps into the low to mid teens.

At the end of that week into the next one (Easter Week) I'm not convinced there will be a sudden warm up -southern Europe doesnt seem very warm for that time of year, but there are some more promising temps building up in Eastern europe.

That is one model, a long way off yet. Thread will be updated.....

Nice but a bit chilly today at Bedgebury Pinetum. We've swapped Easter day for saturday so we can throw all the children outside in PILs garden, I cannot contemplate 4 boys from baby/toddler to teenage rampaging around their home indoors all afternoon

We had a chilly strongish northerly wind but sunny apart from a couple of hours over lunch-time.
Clouded over again now and 14 degrees. Good weather for gardening though

Lots of rain around Sunday in the south, esp the south east. Bit sad about that.

Been sunny, if cool when the sun goes in, all day. tomorrow is supposed to be wet until 6pm and then sunny, then wet then at midnight it becomes mostly clear .
Trying to get most of the gardening done today . Strange how the long handled pruners are getting heavier every year

After a beautiful week last week (on holiday in Dawlish), 'tis a bit dull, miserable here (Leicester) and a not too warm 8.6C.

just noticed steady light rain now. 12.8 degrees . Odd that my heating has not gone off today and I feel colder than ever indoors despite wearing an extra layer.

Hot? I'm frozen wrapped in my dressing gown and with a huge cat on top.
I'd go to bed but that requires moving.

After a miserable day yesterday (first dull, wet day for a while), it's just started getting brighter and looks like we might be in for a sunny spell or two (Leicester ~ 10.6C)
