Weather warnings for the north this weekend.

Flying visit to mn this morning!!!

met office have issued gale warnings for Scotland and parts of northern England as a nasty low pressure is forecast to develop. Severity will depend on exact path of the storm. More later!

Just to say made it to Dundee and back - bridge only open to cars earlier so it must have been over 60mph but now open to everything except double decker buses (so less than 45mph) ...lots of puddles inroad etc so must have been raining quite heavily too (missed cos I was in shops!!)
And warning for tomorrow is further north - phew! But didn't go across till late keeping an eye on the weather so will need to do more shopping tomorrow and not Santa
Noticed it was looking like it is supposed to be a bit windy next Friday...fingers crossed it will be ok for the weekend, last chance for the Santa visit for youngest DC....

A bit gusty here (Leicester) ~ top gust has been 22mph at 5.19pm. Don't think it's going to be a good night for looking out for meteors from the Geminids tonight.

Durham here, has been an OK day, not cold. Few spots of rain. We were walking round town and it was very pleasant, as we passed through the market place a huge gust of wind came out of nowhere, I was seriously worried the market stalls were going to go flying!

All quiet again. Strongest gust in Edinburgh was 53mph, which isn't particulary extreme after last week. Don't think we'll be too bothered by tomorrows storm, but more to come on Thursday......

Pretty bad here earlier (West Coast of Scotland) but calmed right down now. No power outages, although we are ready, after 5th Dec and the really big one 2 years ago! Tomorrow looks worse.
