Makes a huge change from my usual weather warnings posts, but as we go through this week the weather, particularly from the midlands down looks set to turn absolutely lovely, with sunshine and temps reaching 21C for some by the end of the week.

Marvellous Grin

I hope you are right - have a very swanky wedding to go to this weekend, am also bridesmaid so def want it dry. If it's warm and sunny as well then that's marvellous - hooray, a indian summer after all!

Hassled · 05/10/2010 13:40

As I clicked I assumed this would be heavy sarcasm and in fact there was some sort of weather apocalypse coming. But YAY!

AbsofCroissant · 05/10/2010 13:40

You'd better be right. Even my mother, who never complains about the weather (vs my always) is whinging about all the rain.

Ladder · 05/10/2010 13:41

oh i hope so! I have much to do in the garden before winter sets in, and could do with working in decengt weather.

heronsfly · 05/10/2010 13:45

I was hoping for the start of the snow Grin

lazycow007 · 05/10/2010 13:53

OhYouBadBadKitten · 05/10/2010 15:25

:) something had to be nice! a bit of rain to get through first before the lovely bit comes though.

OP posts:
OhYouBadBadKitten · 05/10/2010 18:44

Well, it still looks like a glorious friday/saturday for many, with temps reaching 22C for some.

Hints of a cold end to october....

OP posts:
petunia · 07/10/2010 10:00

What do you mean by 'hints of a cold end to October?' Do you mean 'warm days/frosty nights' sort of cold or is it going to be really cold and we'll be 'snowed in for days' sort of thing! (Going on holiday down in Devon, week after next and really don't fancy digging myself out of a static caravan!)

No sign of this warm weather here yet. It's cold, dull and foggy here at the moment!

KittyFoyle · 07/10/2010 10:07

Lovely sunny frosty morning here. Just beautiful, glad to be alive kind of day. Doing a sponsored walk with family for brain tumor research on Sun so hoping for similar weather then.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 07/10/2010 10:10

looking like proper, unsettled cold possibly (snow????)
long way off of course, but there is certainly the potential.

petunia · 07/10/2010 10:33

I'll add a shovel to the holiday list then! Might take a look at some weather message boards later and see what they say.

Good luck for Sunday, Kitty. Hope the weather's good for you all.

heronsfly · 08/10/2010 15:33

I hope the snow holds off till you have all had you holidays, and the forecast is good for the next few weeks. But then can we please have some snow, maybe November time ?

petunia · 08/10/2010 21:00

I don't know where this lovely weather's got to; we had nothing but cloud today and this morning it was miserable, damp and drizzly! There might have been a sunny spell (just one!) just before it got dark but that was it!

orienteerer · 09/10/2010 10:00

Where's the sun that was forecast? Very grey and dull here (SE)

FranSanDisco · 09/10/2010 10:05

DD 10 yo is off to Hereford for an outdoor pursuits week with yr 5 & 6. It would be great if they didn't come back with trench foot Smile

POFAKKEDDthechair · 09/10/2010 10:09

Er, global warming?

Looking forward to it though, the good weather.

Did anyone see the pictures in the Sunday Times magazing mocking up the way London will look in the future? Parts like Venice and parts around Buckingham palace like a shanty town, due to refugees escaping flooding.

piratecat · 09/10/2010 10:10

according to the forecast here in south devon it's supposed to be sunny and 18 degrees.

I would judt like to say that it's cloudy, not sunny at all and the wind is about 35 mph and easterly. Its freezing!!!!!

sharbie · 09/10/2010 10:19

not nice here in hants too - cloudy bit of winb and about 15 it was much nicer yesterday

OhYouBadBadKitten · 09/10/2010 15:51
