Anyone found a sucker bowl that actually sticks firm to a highchair yet?

Hi

I'm looking for a bowl (or other soulution!) that will stick firm to the highchair for my very messy baby who is desperate to feed herself porridge and throw the bowl around at the same time!

I have tried the ikea bowl but it just doesn't stick firm.
Anyone tried the tommee tippee magic mat?

thanks

Not found one yet either. The magic mat stuck to the bowl but dd just peeled it of the tray and chucked the mat plus bowl at me.

Magic mat didn't work for me, neither did anything else with suckers on. But what did work was blutac. Cheap and portable.

babybouncer · 25/06/2010 20:32

I should add quite a lot of blutac is required!

I just put the porridge straight on the tray. It's less messy in the end.

Good idea on the blue tac! thanks

My Husband came home from the shops yesterday with a magic mat, as it happens.
It is working so far but I am guessing it's only a matter of days until she works out how to peel it off the highchair!

no joy here with magic mat - mat sticks to the antilop tray ok but ds just wrenches the bowl off and plays with the rubber handle bit

Tesco used to do one that worked quite well. Had a ring that fits around the bottom. Admittedly this was 4 years ago but would guess they still do something similar.

Everything works the first time, then you wash it and it doesn't anymore. Frankly I'm a tray dumper too - plonk it down, let's them chuck it about. Save your money on fancy bowls and invest in a mop and lots of cloths instead to clear up.

Try a babytec spill resistant bowl. You can get them on amazon. Really clever but am also a fan of serving some things on the tray!

I have two Tesco ones that are great, and they only cost a couple of pounds

peggotty · 29/06/2010 21:34

Yep the tesco ones are great.

When mine were little we used what my parents used for me, a soap mat.
