Milk and dairy products for 9 mo

hello,
my DD, 9 mo, has been very keen on her food since introduced 3 months ago. While she eats pretty much anything, quantities remain quite small, and we have so far avoided wheat, eggs and dairy, mainly because of her [mild] eczema.
She has gradually dropped her milk feeds, and she only now take a full breastfeed at 7am and 5.30pm, and 3 - 4 oz at 10 am, 2.30 pm and 7pm. She drinks water at nursery, little sips here and there.

I am still breastfeeding her and have never given her formula. I still express in the evenings to make her EBM bottles for the following day (have also a freezer stock). I am a little concerned that she is not taking enough milk for her age.
While I don't think she will take anymore milk (EBM or even formula), maybe we should consider giving her little yoghurts instead of her fruit mashes?

any advice appreciated!

Watching with interest as my nearly 8mo ds is probably bfing even less than your dd, but he does have dairy in his solids

My HV said once they are on 3 meals a day you should aim for a pint of milk per day, or 3 x 7oz feeds. Not sure for how long though...and hard to tell when bfing!

I agree - hard to tell with the BFing. My HV has been a non-existent entity since the very start - so not even sure about the current recommendations. Which kind of dairy is your DS having?

He has reflux so I was wary of dairy(!) too, but seems fine. Apparently milk is the hardest to tolerate, often people are unable to have milk but yoghurt/cheese etc are fine. So we started with those and actually he's fine with all. He also had a TINY bit of eczema behind his knees but it's gone now.

He has whole milk on weetabix or in porridge, also in white sauce. He has lots of butter on bread or toast. He has sticks of cheddar cheese, Philadelphia on rice cakes, cheesy sauce with mashed fish etc.

He also has custard (made up with whole milk using the Birds powder, but might contain eggs???), fromage frais and yoghurts (Little Stars) and natural yoghurt (live - it's good for their tummies!) plain or mixed in with stewed apple/plum/rhubarb. I assumed he wouldn't like it plain but he loves it!

I try to give some dairy with every meal - quite easy if you give a cheese stick to chew while you get the rest ready, or have yog for pudding etc

I'd try a little yoghurt early in the day (so you have the whole day to notice any reaction) and wait a while before starting anything else.

For what it's worth I think you are doing brilliantly - mine eats so much there's no room for milk and it's still much more important than food!
