Homemade puree and travelling

Hi all - Im sure this is a stupid question but cant work it out ..

Ive started to wean my DD this week (following Annabel Karmels mealplanner). We are off for a long weekend in 2 weeks time and Im trying to work out how to take the food.

At the moment I am giving her homemade purees as she gets used to different flavours (although I do have a stash of Ellas Kitchen and Little Plum for once she starts having combined flavours). So my question is, at a hotel how do I store the homemade puree - its easy at home as its frozen and I defrost overnight for the next day, but away I will not have the freezer .. do i just store it in the minibar fridge, or do I need to take one of the bought pouches .. thanks!

I sure someone may have better advise but I always bought jars when travelling. If you are going to do that best to try her with some before you go to make sure she will eat them.

I would stick with the Ella's kitchen pouches if it's just for a long weekend.

You could take the purees in a well packed cool box, with lots of ice packs, they should still be frozen when you get there. They should last at least 2 days in the fridge. after that, you could use Ella's kitchen.

Personally I wouldn't bother, and would stick to the pouches (they're so handy when you're out as well)

Also bananas and avocados are brilliant for travelling because you can mash them very finely with a fork and they come in their own packaging. And when she gets bored of one or the other, mix them together.

MiniLace - I went to my Mums last week (5 hour drive) and took some frozen pots with me in a cool bag. Didn't have an ice pack to take, so put in a frozen bag of ebm. They were still pretty frozen when I got there and I just put them in the fridge. I used them for the 3 days after that and they were fine.
